Pottery Throwing Masterclass

Whether you’re completely new to the pottery wheel or just want to improve your skills, this session is a great way to get to grips with clay on the wheel.

You will learn the fundamentals to throwing on the wheel starting with preparing your clay and then moving onto to centring and creating cylinders . You will have time to practise these techniques before moving onto shaping forms in the afternoon concentrating on bellying out and necking in.

What you need to know:

• Maximum of 4 students

• £180 each inc all materials and firing. Each students will keep 3 pieces each and choose form the studio glazes for the finish.

• The workshop runs from 10am to 4pm with an hour for lunch

• All work will be dried, fired and ready to collect at a later date

Please note: lunch is not included, but there is a variety of lovely shops and cafes in Poole for you to explore
