Throwing sessions

Whether you’re complete new to the pottery wheel or an improver, Charlotte’s throwing sessions are a great way to get to grips with clay on the wheel.

During a 3 hour session you will be taking through how to centre your clay on the wheel and then how to throw pots step by step. You will also have the opportunity to add some colour and pattern to your pots using some decorative slip techniques, like sgraffito and marbling.

During the whole day session you will also go through how to centre, pull up and create cylinders, but will also look at shaping your work, concentrating on necking in and bellying out.

What you need to know:

• Maximum of 4 students

• Pottery Throwing Master class - whole day session : £180 per person

• 3-hour throwing session: £110 per person

• Price includes all materials, firings and refreshments

• All work will be dried, fired and ready to collect at a later date
